Where Did the Hazorites store Water?

Perhaps a century after Solomon’s rule, the Israelites built a massive shaft 130 feet deep into the tell, reaching the water table below. We walked to the huge well that held a massive amount of water. We walked down to the bottom of the well where we encountered various animals! The 62 foot vertical shaft was about 50 square feet and ended at a wide, sloping stepped tunnel that led another 82 feet.
