I'm going to Jerusalem this afternoon, Sunday July 7th. The train station was right around the corner from the hotel. It was 25 shekels for the train ride which is about $6 maybe. I had to wait for about 20 minutes. There weren't a lot of people with suitcases but it was fine.
There's a photo of the train station in Tel Aviv and then a couple of the arrival station in Jerusalem as well as one of Jalal, the Arab taxi driver in Jerusalem who was very friendly.
