My friend Lonnie dropped me off at Newark airport for my flight to Tel Aviv. This will be my first time in Israel in many many years and I am a bit nervous about returning to the Holy Land.
But check in at United appears to be a breeze, so far at least. There was no line to check in and they took my suitcases right away with no extra charge. Then I used my Global Entry to zoom through security and --- before I knew it --- I arrived at the gate.
The gate itself for the flight is screened off from all the other gates. Right outside the gate is a snack bar and right in the front of the snack bar, as you see in the photo, they're selling all types of pork rinds!
Is God trying to send me a message?
Then I saw that under the pork rinds, they're selling bagel chips. All is well with the world.
