Friday night services at the beit tefila at the Tel Aviv Port. Right on the ocean. There's a Merry Go Round right next to it
It's mostly Americans but there's some French and also some Israelis.
This photo below was early, before most of the people arrived.
It took about an hour to walk here from the hotel. I was surprised how few people were in the streets at 4:30 p.m. on a Friday.
I heard them singing lecha dodi so I rushed at 5:50 p.m. but it was just practice. Now it's almost 6:30 and I'm still waiting for them to start. There's still plenty of seats.
They're selling prayer books for 50 shekels paperback but I don't want to carry it back. I think there may be a Hebrew English version that would be more useful for me in my congregation. I may own enough books already. So that's three reasons not to buy it!
